Superstar Beyonce Knowles, tried it out in 2009 during her first visit to Nigeria for the ’This Day concert’ . She sang the anthem as a parting gift to Nigerians. Michelle Williams, member of the defunct destiny child gave her own rendition in December 2012 during the much anticipated ‘Experience’ which held in Lagos. Our very own Multi talented singer, Tiwa Savage sang her own unique version during Independence day celebration in October 2012 and two nights ago, Ebony Life productions released Nikky Laoye’s version of the national anthem.
