Prof. Wole Soyinka and four Northern Governors visited Port- Harcourt to pay the Gov. Rotimi Amaechi a solidarity visit but as the governors left the airport huddled in one car, mob known to be anti-Amaechi protesters led by Samuel Nwanosike(aka Ishi) a well-known acolyte of the deputy minister of education, Nyesom Wike threw stones, bottled water and sticks damaging one of the cars in the governors' convoy.
The governors were prevented from entering the city for more close to two hours until the police security was reinforced.
